Outer Fed Rotating Drum Screens “DTI” are continuously operating screening system with automatic cleaning device. DTI is general purpose self cleaning micro screening equipment which is suitable for both municipal and industrial water, wastewater treatment plants as well as the applications for collection of recyclable materials. But it is especially suitable for separation of floating, greasy and adhesive solids. The screen is formed by a frame, a drive unit, a delivery tank, a screen drum and a doctor blade.
Operation Principle:
The liquid to be screened is sent into a delivery tank, which is built to ensure that the fluid is distributed over the entire surface of the screen drum. The solids in the liquid are retained on the outside drum screen surface and removed by the doctor blade into a suitable container or a conveying device. The screened water passes through the bottom portion of the drum inside to out cleaning the screen surface. In addition, the system includes an internal drum washing unit; using spray nozzles. This way, with every turn, the screen is cleaned of any particles, ready for the next screening cycle.
